Dusan Vlahovic is a wanted man, with many clubs in Europe circling around the Florentina frontman. The Serbian has scored 17 league goals in 21 league appearances this season, which has only helped to heap the exit rumor around the player. Florentina is more than hoping to cash big on a player they got before he turned 18 from Partizan Belgrade.
Arsenal has been on the lookout for a striker since last summer. The London club has realized that they can’t bank on ex-Dortmund player Pierre Aubameyang who has been largely underwhelming since the beginning of last season. Coach Arteta is looking for a striker in the mold of Vlahovic who would power his Arsenal side into reckoning in English football.
Lucas Torriera who is on loan at Florentina has impressed the Italian side, and Arsenal is playing to use the player in a part deal to secure the services of the hitman. Torriera wants to stay in Italy after a horrid spell in England. Torreira could join Arsenal for about £12.5 million, the club would prefer a part deal in exchange for Vlahovic, but the problem lies with Vlahovic’s agent who doesn’t see Arsenal as a top club for his client.
Ex-City player Micah Richard described the player as “lightening with his number ridiculous” and he would be a massive addition if Arsenal can somehow convince the player to ignore other big guns in Europe. Manchester United has also been linked with the player, with some clubs in Europe seeing the player as an ideal replacement for Haaland.
Mikel Arteta is still hopeful that Edu Gamper would be able to convince the player to move to London. For now, Arsenal fans can only dream of the kind of link up player Vlahovic would have with other young guns at the club.
