CEBALLOS DEFENDS ARSENAL CHOICE OVER MADRID

Arsenal midfielder DaniCeballoshas defended his decision to join the Gunners on loan from Real Madrid this term. The Spaniard needed more game time than he was getting at Madrid. With Zinedine Zidane taking over and keen on a rebuild, he knew staying on would not be favorable to his intentions.

Already the move is paying off as he has earned a recall to the Spanish national team. Robert Moreno, who replaced Luis Enrique as, has favoured the return of Ceballos, appreciating the 11 caps the midfielder has earned since his switch to the Emirates.

Spain face Norway and Sweden on October 12 and 15 as part of the qualifying fixtures for Euro 2020. The Spanish team is in Madrid preparing for the games. There, Ceballos said he is very happy he made the move to England.

He struggled to make as much impact at the Bernabeu following his move from Real Betis in 2017. Zidane was not impressed then and was likely not going to budge in his second coming to the club. Under Unai Emery Ceballos has been above average, netting once and assisting two others. When he is introduced from the bench, he stirs up the attack and makes meaningful contributions.

He is yet to get a permanent shirt in the competitive Arsenal midfield but the prospects are great. He is part of talents that have improved the air at Arsenal. Kieran Tierney after returning from injury has been impressive as well, even as fans await Nicolas Pepe to repay the huge investments in him.
