ARSENE WENGER WANTS TO COACH THE NETHERLANDS

 

Former Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger wants to coach the Netherlands after Ronald Koeman took up the Barcelona job. Wenger reportedly put his name for consideration for the role which is expected to be filled soon.


The Barcelona project was frustrated with the embarrassing 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich in the quarterfinal of the Champions League. This forced the board to sack QuiqueSetien. Koeman is a former player that has had an impressive run in his managerial career. After retiring at Feyenoord in the late 90s, he joined the national team as an assistant manager before continuing in the same role at Barca.

This is a million dollar question: Will Arsenal’s best goal scorer remain at the club as the club continue the rebuild? As Coach Mikel Arteta continues to work on the club objectives of having a well-motivated side, competing for local titles and challenging in the Champions League, it is obvious he needs experienced goal poachers.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one that has consistently delivered over the years. His contract with the Gunners is set to lapse next season so the club is desperate to sell him now or get him to agree fresh terms. The 30-year old forward and skipper is open to an exit. There are reports that Arsenal want to keep him but if he refuses to put pen to paper, if an offer of over 20 million pounds come in they would sell. However, if any valuation below that comes in, they would reject and take their chances as the deal runs down.

Arsenal Ahead of Liverpool for Evan Transfer

It has been reported that an important member from the entourage of Evan N’Dicka could play a crucial role to push Arsenal ahead of Liverpool in the race to get the defender from Frankfurt. The 20-year-old footballer from France plays for his nation at the Under-21 level and has reached a height of prominence this season in Bundesliga. He appeared in 25 matches in all the competitions. He has been able to catch the eye of both Arsenal and Liverpool by some of his performances, but the Reds are much ahead of their rivals in the Premier League in the race to make a safe deal with the player as they need to find a replacement of Dejan Lovren.

 

Meanwhile, it is expected that Arsenal will make the loan deal with Pablo Mari permanent. They can also rely upon William Saliba from the next season. The Gunners have signed the 19-year-old footballer from St Etienne the previous summer before they send him back to Ligue 1 for this term. According to some reports, the presence of Aboubacar Traore who is working with N’Dicka could be essential to help the broker of Arsenal a deal for taking the center-back player. Currently, Evan N’Dicka’s rate is £20 million.
