SANCHEZ TO REMAIN FOR FINAL CONTRACT YEAR

One of the biggest transfer targets for this summer Alexis Sanchez looks set to remain at the Emirates for the forthcoming season, according to reports in England.

He is set to see off his final ten months left at the Emirates before he exits for free next year.

Arsene Wenger insisted that the Chile international would not be allowed to leave the club no matter the amount offered. After back and forth, it seems the player would remain in north London. The Gunners would prefer to lose out financially than sell their prized forward to rivals Manchester City or Chelsea or even to Bayern Munich or Paris St Germain.

PSG’s capture of Neymar ended links to Sanchez and Bayern could not compete in such costly financial deal. Jon Cross of the Mirror reports that Sanchez would stay on as the team fights for the Premier League title this season.

Wenger would also have enough time to plan a top replacement for Sanchez when he leaves next year. If he left this term it would have affected the team’s competitiveness so Wenger opted to lose out financially. Continue reading SANCHEZ TO REMAIN FOR FINAL CONTRACT YEAR

Is Arsenal preparing replacements for Alexis Sanchez?

Alexis Sanchez has without doubt been the standout Arsenal player of the season so far.

The Chilean player has scored 18 goals and provided his teammates with 9 assists in 27 appearances. Sanchez is not only the top goal-scorer of Arsenal but also the top assister and there are rumors going on suggesting that the future of Alexis Sanchez might be reaching it’s end with the Premier League club.

The contract of Sanchez will be expiring in 2018 and if rumors are indeed true, he has recently had a number of confrontations with some of his teammates and there are a few key figures that want to see the Chilean player leaving the Emirates Stadium and might be leaving by the end of the current season.

If Alexis Sanchez is indeed developing an unhealthy relationship with a few influential figures in Arsenal, this could be the chance that other interested clubs need in order to come in and secure the services of the Chilean player who has recently been performing at a world-class level. Ozil’s future depend on Wenger

Mesut Ozil has stated that his future will depend on whether Arsene Wenger will remain at Arsenal.

He has denied rumors that the contract talks are stalling because of a salary issue and said that he is more concerned about the Frenchman’s future.

Arsene Wenger’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season, and so far there is no sign that the manager will sign a contract extension. The manager said that it would all depend on where the team finishes at the end of the season.

ARSENAL FACES A TRICKY DRAW

For the past six seasons Arsenal has repeatedly crashed out of the Champions League round of 16.

The reason is not far from the fact that they kept putting themselves in trouble by failing to top their group. Not this season though as they placed above main rival Paris St. Germain in their group.

Yesterday’s 4-1 thrashing of Basel in the last round of matches coupled with PSG’s surprising capitulation against Ludogerets means the Gunners for once got the answers to their prayers. And somehow just like every other ugly trick fate plays on humans, there is still a lot of biting of nails going on at the Emirates stadium. At least till Monday where all 16 remaining teams will learn their fate as UEFA conducts the draws.

When asked about the mixed feelings brewing at North London, Wenger replied:

“It’s difficult to know. You feel a bit less guilty. If you have a bad draw when you’re first or second. At least we have done our job and let’s see what happens.” Continue reading ARSENAL FACES A TRICKY DRAW

Arsene Wenger has installed a ‘’injury reducing pitch’’

It has recently been revealed that the training grounds of Arsenal have sustained a big change as a new technology has been established which is expected to reduce the amount of injuries that the players of Arsenal sustain for the long term future.

When it comes to being injured, Arsene Wenger and his squad are no strangers to that as Arsenal FC is probably one of the Premier League clubs that have to deal with the most amount of injured players and this is something that does not occur on a few particular years but it’s a ongoing trend that continued to happen and has seriously hampered the clubs’ chances of snatching the Premier League as well as many other big pieces of silverware.

Ian Wright is a former Arsenal player who has played with various English clubs including: Crystal Palace and West Ham United as well as performing for the England national football team and he has recently talked about this injury problem of Arsenal as the retired footballer went on to say:

“For me, that has got to have something to do with it. We’re in London, close to the top, top surgeons and doctors in the world. With the facilities we have got at the training ground it is worrying how many injuries we get and how long it takes out players to get back. If the training ground is hard and players have said it then they have got to look at that. With the players Arsenal are signing at the moment you want to make sure you can keep them on the pitch as often as you can.”
